New Year’s Resolutions

Yup, I said it - no resolutions. Why? Because winter is not the best time for change.

Think of it this way: nature is in hibernation mode. It’s staying warm and still and conserving energy. Even our feminine cycle is thought of in accordance with the seasons, with the menstrual phase being the inner winter. And do you really feel like starting a new routine when you have your period? I didn’t think so.

So why would we expect ourselves to want to jump into action in the middle of winter when we’re meant to be resting? The collective energy is just not there.

Instead, take this time for reflection, journaling, meditating, and identifying what no longer serves you. Do some thoughtful planting now, and as nature begins to bloom, you too can harness that momentum to implement all of those new *Spring* resolutions.
