Oh winter, you wreak so much havoc on our skin. Between the bitter cold air outside and the drying heat inside, a radiant and glowy complexion seems to be a thing of the past. Thankfully, there are plenty of green beauty solutions to combat the damage. Today I’m sharing a few of the products that keep my skin in check.

Leahlani Kalima Coconut Cream Cleansing Powder :: I cleanse my face every morning and night with this and it’s magic. The tropical smell alone is enough to make me a believer, but it also works. If you haven’t used a cleansing powder before, trust me when I say you’re seriously missing out. Pour a bit into your palm, activate with some water and it foams up into a gently exfoliating cleanser. Pro tip: I like to leave it on until it dries for extra detoxification and absorption of all the good ingredients. Rinse off and also try not to eat it - it really smells that good.

Konjac Sponge Co Bamboo Charcoal Sponge :: If I haven’t worked out in the morning (read: sweated up my face), I like use this a few times a week. Just run the sponge under water until it’s soft, and gently wash your face. You don’t even have to use a cleanser and it will help to slough dead skin and absorb excess oil.

Ursa Major Golden Hour Recovery Cream :: Once my face is cleansed, I slather this magical cream on. I’ve always had very congested skin and thought a heavier moisturizer would be a disaster, but my face loves this. It’s instantly hydrating and calms my redness. I use this all over and it even works under makeup (just let it sink in a few minutes before applying).

BRAID Beauty Babe :: If you saw this post, you know my eyes are typically the only things visible when I go outside, so they need some extra love. I do one roll under each eye and gently pat it in, making sure to the get outside corners too.

Egyptian Magic :: The packaging looks sketchy, but trust me - this is no joke. I use it year round on my lips, ends of hair and cuticles but it’s especially necessary in the winter. If I have extra dry spots, I’ll use this as a concentrated treatment over my Ursa Major Cream. This is also ideal for dry, chapped hands - put on a generous layer before bed and you’ll wake up with the softest skin.

So there you have it - the five products I’ve been loving this winter season to keep my skin from looking like a 5,000 year old alligator. If you try any of them out, let me know!

Stay warm and glowy.

Xx,

Brittany
